BMS has played a significant role in supporting the development of cultural activities in Bangladesh. In the period after the liberation war, BMS was called the nucleus of stage drama. Currently, BMS rents out its auditorium, named after the Founder President, Dr. Neelima Ibrahim, to different theatre groups in return for a nominal donation. This is mutually beneficial, as it allows BMS to meet the cost of sustaining its programs and also enables the theatre artists, playwrights and technicians to materialize their respective talents. BMS feels proud to state that many lead stage artists of today have their roots in the BMS auditorium.
