Tangail Branch Samity:
This branch office started working under APWA in 1953. Later in 1972 the branch office was registered with BMS. This branch of BMS conducts all their activities from their own building. Activities of this office includes sewing courses for underprivileged women and help them to market their product. They provide scholarship to the poor and meritorious students. Samity also arranges programs of entertainment for the members.
Rangpur Samity (Guptapara Branch):
Established under APWA in 1954. Later in 1972 the branch office was registered with BMS. This branch of BMS conducts all their activities from their own building. Activities of this office includes free sewing, block & batik courses for underprivileged women. They also conduct a shop named “Shomvar”. Readymade garments are sold there. Samity also run a plant nursery in the fellow land around the office. Samity provides free medical services with the help of Community Medical College & Hospital.
Pabna Branch Samity:
Established under APWA in 1954. Later in 1972 the branch office was registered with BMS. This branch of BMS conducts all their activities from their own building. This Branch conducts homestead meetings to stop dowry, early marriage to uphold women empowerment. Samity also provides training on food preservation, sewing, beautification and computer training.
Chattogram Branch Samity:
Established under APWA in 1955. Later in 1972 the branch office was registered with BMS. This branch of BMS conducts all their activities from their own building. Activities include providing scholarship to meritorious children coming from poor families, running home for destitute children, free medical service, free sewing classes, educational opportunity to less fortunate women, running “Rokeya Eusuf” library, distributing warm clothes to the poor, etc. Samity conducts reputed “Bangladesh Mahila Samiti Girl’s High School and College”.
Mymensingh Branch Samity:
Established under APWA in 1955. Later in 1972 the branch office was registered with BMS. This branch of BMS conducts all their activities from their own building. Activities include free cutting and sewing classes, hand work (karchupi work, eplik, making bags), etc. Samity also provides health care and legal aid programs for the distressed women, tree plantation, distribution of winter clothes, etc. Samity also runs Bangladesh Mohila Samity Higher Education School.
Noria (Shariatpur) Branch Samity:
In 1977 BMS Noria (Shariatpur) branch Samity was established. Present activities of the Samity includes running a butik house, raising consciousness among the adolescence girls about early marriage, organizing meetings in local schools and colleges on the problems during adolescence period, etc.
Kushtia Branch Samity:
In 1992 BMS Kushtia branch Samity was established. Samity delivers to the customers hand work and sewing (sari, nakshi kantha, three-piece, men kurta, fatua, etc) helps poor parents financially with their daughter’s marriage and patients with treatment provides winter clothing for the poor during winter and any disaster. Besides, regular meetings are held on women repression, eve teasing, women and children trafficking, breast cancer, etc.
Rangpur Branch Samity:
In 1998 BMS Rangpur branch Samity (Sadar) was established. This branch of BMS conducts all their activities from their own building. From the beginning as a social service Samity provides sewing courses and child education.
Jashore Branch Samity:
In 1998 BMS Jashore branch Samity was established. Among their activities Samity participates in tree plantation. They also organize meetings to aware people to resist child marriage and dowry system.
Rajshahi Branch Samity:
In 2001 BMS Rajshahi branch Samity was established. From the beginning samity is working on the issues like women and children’s rights and child trafficking. Different types of training is provided to women for their economic emancipation.
Barguna Branch Samity:
Borguna Branch Samity was established in 2003. Samity is working on childhood marriage, dowry, eve teasing and family violence. It provides training to poor women to become economically more solvent. Samity is working in collaboration with other NGOs in areas like adolescent children’s health, provide legal services to the distressed women. Besides, samity is working to resist child marriage, payment of dowry, and family violence.
